Royal Hampshire County Hospital – Burrell Wing Robotic Pharmacy Facility

ION were engaged to undertake the design and delivery of an automated Pharmacy dispensing facility at Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester. The new facility provides automated robot dispensing of drugs and medicines for this busy county hospital.

The services included chilled water, LTHW heating, central ducted AHU ventilation systems and dirty extract systems. High level access control and security systems were also required for this drugs distribution facility.
Close co-ordination and management of the project was necessary in order to minimise the impact of the new works on adjacent 'live' working areas within the hospital.

The project was delivered successfully both to programme and to meet the highest quality expected in today's clinical environments.
